WELCOME, N.C. — Corey LaJoie will drive Kaulig Racing’s No. 25 Ram 1500 in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race April 3 at Rockingham (N.C.) Speedway.

The third-generation racer is the first repeat driver in Ram’s Free Agent Driver Program.

LaJoie will make his first appearance in the No. 25 (tonight, 7:30 p.m. FS1) at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway.

The program, part of Ram’s return to NASCAR after a 13-year hiatus, puts a rotating cast of experienced drivers, rising stars and available talents behind the wheel of the No. 25 Ram 1500 each week in 2026.

NASCAR Hall of Famer Tony Stewart launched the initiative in the season opener at Daytona International Speedway, Ty Dillon drove at EchoPark Speedway in Atlanta, and Colin Braun piloted the truck in the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg.

New drivers are typically unveiled before the previous race, mixing proven veterans with fresh faces for a dynamic weekly lineup of Ram-powered trucks. LaJoie will be the first repeat driver in the No. 25.

Rockingham Speedway, affectionately known as “The Rock,” is a historic D-shaped oval 0.94-mile oval that opened in 1965 as North Carolina Motor Speedway and hosted NASCAR Cup Series races for nearly four decades until 2004. After a long hiatus and periods of decline, the facility underwent major renovations and reopened to NASCAR national series competition in 2025, welcoming back the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, Craftsman Truck Series, and other events.

LaJoie is familiar with Rockingham Speedway

“No matter what series in NASCAR, the competition is tough. Having the opportunity to work with (No. 25 Crew Chief) Alex Yontz and the No. 25 group in back to back weeks will be great for continuity and building Kaulig’s notebook for their new Ram teams,” said LaJoie.

“Rockingham is a special place for me with having won three late model races there and running second to Tyler Reddick in the last ARCA East race there. It’s always nice going somewhere that you’ve been to victory lane.”

In tonight’s Buckle Up South Carolina 200, LaJoie’s No. 25 will carry a special paint scheme similar to the one his father, Randy LaJoie, drove in the 2004 season-opening race in Daytona. He made six of his career seven truck series races that year. Randy’s driving career included winning 15 races and two NASCAR Xfinity Series (now O’Reilly Auto Parts Series) championships. He also raced in 44 NASCAR Cup Series races.

Corey started his career with six wins in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East (now ARCA Menards Series East) and three ARCA Menards Series victories. Across NASCAR’s national series, LaJoie has made more than 270 Cup Series starts since debuting in 2014, recording multiple top-5 and top-10 finishes with standout runs at superspeedways and road courses, plus part-time efforts in the Truck and O’Reilly Auto Parts Series.

Recently, he competed in select truck races, served as a reserve driver for RFK Racing in the NASCAR Cup Series, and attempted to qualify for the Daytona 500 in the No. 99 before a late crash in the Duel ended his bid.

He’ll join a strong Kaulig Racing contingent in Rockingham. The team fields five full-time Ram trucks in 2026 — its inaugural season as Ram’s primary partner in the series. The lineup features Brenden “Butterbean” Queen, Daniel Dye, Justin Haley, and Timothy “Mini” Tyrrell.
